Done using GIMP to try a different style than I'm used to drawing.
I saw a video of Journey (the PS3 game) the other day and it struck me as having a very similar vibe to Shadow of the Colossus. Both games seem to have the world they occur in as the real star of the game, making you seem very small and insignificant in the grand scheme of things. Seeing as though they seemed to fit well together I thought I would try and draw a landscape from SotC in the style of Journey. It was fun to do and I think it turned out quite well.
The sun rays were achieved by using some awesome Lightbeam brushes provided by redheadstock [link] and then very handily converted to GIMP by Genidoxian [link]
